AMANDA MASCARENHAS
Amanda Mascarenhas (she/her) is a Designer and Visual Artist. She works mainly in Theatre, Television and Events. She designs in a variety of styles including, but not limited to Touring, Musicals, Opera and Immersive work. Amanda prides herself in creating bold spaces that encapsulate the audience from every aspect, she creates sensory spaces that engage the viewer even before the performance has started.
She has worked with companies such as Talawa Theatre, Northern Stage, Oily Cart and English Touring Opera.

As part of her visual arts work, Amanda is community artist. She facilitates workshops for a wide variety of groups, such as Young Migrants, Intergenerational and PMLD groups. Her workshops are art based with a focus towards connection and the exploration of different art forms. Her practice is also informed by trauma awareness.

Organisations that she has worked as a visual artist/facilitator include Kazzum Arts, Magic Me, Heart n Soul, Royal Opera House and Amnesty international.

She is proud of her work as both a designer and visual artist is constantly seeing how both practices inform each other.

​She graduated from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance gaining BA(Hons) in Theatre Design. She grew up in London and is based in London today. She is Associate Artist to Kazzum Arts and The Kings Head Theatre
